Shrine Mont Registration Now Open!
Put St. Paul’s annual Parish Weekend at Shrine Mont on your calendar now for July 14-16 and sign up here!
Shrine Mont is the spectacular 1,100-acre mountain retreat center of the Diocese of Virginia, 90 minutes from Charlottesville in Orkney Springs, Virginia. St. Paul's weekend includes time for individual and group activities like hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, tennis, and our annual kickball extravaganza, as well as ample opportunity for inactivity, like napping, reading, or just sitting on the porch. Do as much or as little as you like, but don't miss out!
Our guest speaker on Saturday morning at Shrine Mont will be the Rev. Roger Bowen, a retired priest and headmaster of Episcopal schools. Roger will introduce us to the life and ministries of the Diocese of Haiti, where he has decades-long experience, and will lead a conversation about how to explore potential relationships with Episcopalians in Haiti.

Installation of the Rev. William Peyton
A celebration of the ministry of our new rector is scheduled for Friday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. St. Paul's has only done this nine times in 117 years, so don't miss this one! The Rt. Rev. Ted Gulick, Assistant Bishop, will celebrate the Eucharist and install the Rev. William Peyton as our tenth rector. A festive reception will follow in the parish hall. The preacher will be the Rev. Ryan Fleenor, Associate Rector at St. James' Church in New York City, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Virginia, who was sponsored for ordination by St. Paul's.
